Is AI just a hype or can I create value in my business?

Yes, there is a lot of noise and hype, but, also real value in AI. AI has some very good uses tied to aligning to specified formats or procedures. For this reason AI can be very good at repetitive tasks, or, tasks that can be standardized (even if creative). But, you have to adapt the chosen systems to internal knowledge and way of work to add value, if not it is just advanced web-searching.

How can AI create value?

Two main ways

- As a tool for individuals enabling more to be done with the same team (example: translating documents, producing content and documents)

- As a tool for the company doing things you wish you had done but never get around to do (example: writing reports, tagging files, keeping order in file systems)

What do we need to consider when starting with AI

You need to start with a LLM (Chat GPT 5.0, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Mistral ...) and an orchestrator (Copilot, Gemini ...).

Then you need to do the following depending on needs:

- Set up knowledge sources, either in memory, or as RAG depending on complexity, type of data, and need

- Set up prompts and guidance for the AI 

- Tune the LLM model or add dedicated vectorized databases (RAG)

- Set up automations driving the processes and interacting with the agent(s)

Is it difficult

It can be, but you can get help. Tuning the AI to domain knowledge require specialist support
